Leslie is 10 years old and lives with her mother, her stepfather and her three half brothers. Her mom and David, whom she considers her real father, work selling seasonal items in the historic center of Guadalajara. She sometimes helps to sell and works at home caring for her younger brothers.
She travels a 20-minute train route to arrive at school. She is currently in the fifth grade and is an average student.
She would like to become a teacher in order to help more children in school, because the support that she and her family has received has been very important.
