Ramiro is 10 years old and lives with his parents and his 5 brothers. His mom works selling potato chips in the historic center of Guadalajara. His dad works by laying cables for telephone lines. He and his sister Susana help sell a few days out of school and on weekends, and his younger brothers accompany them.
His house is on the outskirts of the city and to move from that point to the school makes a bus journey in about an hour. Currently completing fifth grade. He loves soccer and would like to become a professional player to win money and help his family to get ahead.
